Nestled near the forrest, there is, in the heart of Alsace, an island of nature ready to welcome you for an unforgettable stay.
The two centuries old house offers you a cordial setting, conviviality an a tidy kitchen, which is of the utmost importance to Pierre Schoch, its owner.

Nature on a plateau
Situated 10 km to the south of the Mont Ste Odile and half way between Strasbourg and Colmar, the medium altitude mountain resort of the Hohwald enjoys an exceptional amount of sun, in summer and in winter. Rich meadows surrounded by majestic firs and beech trees characterise this charming site.
Populated in olden times by stockbreeders who came from Switzerland and Austria, very early on the Hohwald attracted city-dwellers in search of nature and tranquillity. Forests and meadows belonging to Barr, Breitenbach and Albé gave birth to the village in 1867.
Today a number of varied activities are on offer - 120 km of way-marked, perfectly maintained footpaths offer hikers varied walks which allow them to see some splendid panoramas as they follow the winding trails. In summer, the site is perfect for mountain biking, tennis and mini-golf. In winter, you can discover the delights of skiing and snowshoe walks.
